About CrossBay Medical
The mission of CrossBay Medical is to empower physicians to deliver compassionate in-office care by offering a suite of products based on the CrossGlide™ technology. We will continue to develop and commercialize medical devices using CrossGlide™ across a wide array of gynecological applications in the coming years.
Piush Vidyarthi founded the company in 2009. The company was privately funded by the founders. The initial model was to buy and sell products to raise enough money to develop our own products. Our first commercial product for women’s health was in 2014: SonoSure, SonoHysterogrophy and Endometrial Sampling Device. We licensed the US distribution rights for this device to Norgenix Pharmaceuticals.
CrossBay received US and EU clearances for SonoFlow, Sonohysterography and Sonohysterosalpingography Device. The distribution rights for the product was also licensed to Norgenix Pharmaceuticals. Unfortunately, it was only a short while later that Norgenix Pharmaceuticals closed it doors.
During this period, CrossBay was working on a new technology for what is now CrossGlide™. The company received US and EU clearances for the first product using CrossGlide™ technology in 2017. This product was called the CrossBay IVF Embryo Transfer Catheter Set.
