Piush Vidyarthi, Co-Founder and CEO
Piush is a co-founder of CrossBay Medical, Inc. He has over 22 years of experience in the medical device and diagnostic market. He has workedat 3M, Alcon Surgical, Origin Medsystems (formerly Guidant and now Abbott) and Conceptus in engineering. He began commercializing products while at Conceptus. To date, Piush has brought over 15 products to market. His background includes engineering, clinical development, OUS commercialization, marketing and business development. Piush has expertise in developing innovative products for the OUS market and establishing and managing distribution networks in Asia, Europe, and Latin America. He is strategically based in the San Francisco Bay Area so as to leverage his contacts within Venture Capital and SME community.
Rene Hogeboom, Managing Director, Europe
Rene is a serial entrepreneur in Medical Distribution and a co-founder in CrossBay Medical. He has been in the Medical industry since 1985. He has founded multiple successful distribution companies focused in Benelux. His current company Sigma Medical was established in 1989. This company generates over €4M in annual revenues. Rene has also co-founded BiologiQ, www.biologiq.nl and Angiocare, (sold in Feb, 2008). He has a very established network of European distributors and has contacts within the Dutch Venture Capital and Start-up community.
Xiang Li, MD China
Xiang Li has Over 10 years of experience in medical equipment and device market in China with over 5 years focused in women’s health. He is the current MD of Mediforce Ltd in China. He has built a successful business in China and managed over 9 offices with more than 100 staff with a combined turnover of over 200 million RMB. Xiang Li has sound relationships with leading KOL’s and senior management of the prestigious hospitals. He is well versed in the Chinese healthcare market, especially in Women’s healthcare, Oncology and Pain Management.
Steve Bacich, CTO
Steve Bacich is an advisor to several medical device companies across several disciplines including women’s health and ophthalmology. Mr. Bacich was the President and CEO of Arbor Surgical Technologies, Inc from July 2003 to 2010. Prior to this, Mr.Bacich served as President & CEO and member of the Board Directors of Conceptus, Inc (CPTS) from December 1999 to July 2003, where he led the company in a major turn around, significantly increasing shareholder value, and introduced a revolutionary gynecological product to the US and international markets. During his tenure, CPTS was awarded one of the fastest growing companies on the NASDAQ with a market capitalization increase from $10M to $380M. At CPTS, Mr. Bacich completed several PIPEsand a public offering, in total raising $130M, and positioned the company and the Essure© product as the market leader. Prior to joining CPTS, Mr. Bacich spent seven years as a Co-founder of Imagyn Medical, Inc., a medical device manufacturer of gynecological products for infertility and endoscopic procedures. Mr. Bacich has held Board Positions in other healthcare companies including Adiana Inc. (sold to CYTC) and Pain Concepts (asset sale to SYK). Mr. Bacich holds a B.S. in Biomedical Engineering from the University of California, San Diego. With over 43 US patents in the healthcare field, Mr. Bacich has brought numerous products to the medical community.
Kelly Roy, MD, CMO
Kelly is a well recognized Gynecologist currently practicing in Phoenix, Arizona. She is Medical Director of Arizona Gynecology Consultants and Gynesurgical, LLC. She is a fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology and a member of the American Association of Gynecologic laparoscopists and the Society of Laparoscopic Surgeons. She has extensive clinical, teaching and research experience in gynecology and minimally invasive gynecology surgery. She has a degree in biomedical engineering and has provided industry leadership and consultation to the medical device and biotechnology industry for over 12 years. She has published multiple articles in global journals and has been a lead investigator in both pre and post market clinical trials. She is co-director of Minimally Invasive Surgery at Banner Good Samaritan Medical Center and a clinical instructor of Obstetrics and Gynecology for the University of Arizona College of Medicine. Kelly is the Chief Medical Officer for CrossBay Medical. She will provide expertise in the areas of clinical and regulatory affairs, patient and product safety, product research and innovation.
